Appointments
Same Day Appointments, urgent or routine
GP and ANP appointments will be bookable on the same day, please call us on 01442 212038. There will be limited pre-bookable, routine appointments. Our receptionists are trained to ask a series of questions to enable them to prevent delays in you getting the appropriate care with the relevant healthcare professional. They are acting on the GP’s instructions and the information you provide will be treated in the strictest of confidence.
Chaperones
During your care, a clinician may need to examine you. Occasionally this may involve an examination of intimate areas. We understand that this can be stressful and embarrassing.
If this sort of examination is necessary:
- We will explain to you why the examination is necessary and give you the
opportunity to ask questions. - We will explain what the examination will involve.
- We will obtain your permission before we carry out the examination.
- You will be offered a chaperone to be present during the examination.
- At all times we will respect your privacy during the examination and while dressing and undressing.
Cancelling your appointment
If you need to cancel or change your appointment, please ring reception on 01442 212038 so we can give your appointment to another patient.
Consult with a Doctor online
If you have access to the internet, for non- urgent medical or admin issues, please use the Accurx online consultation tool on our website: https://florey.accurx.com/p/E82050
Please put all admin enquiries in writing or if you do not have access to the internet, call after 11am as our priority is for patients who are unwell. All prescription requests must be in writing, e-mail or using the NHS App. To find out if your medication request has been processed, please contact your pharmacy first.
Extended Access
We have additional appointments available on Wednesday evenings and 1 in 4 Saturdays (pre-bookable appointments only).
Home Visits
If possible please try to call reception before 10:30 if you require a home visit and be ready to give some details in order that the doctor can assess the degree of urgency. Homevisits are usually done between 12pm and 3pm.
You may only request a home visit if you are housebound or are too ill to visit the practice. Your GP will only visit you at home if they think that your medical condition requires it and will also decide how urgently a visit is needed.
You can be visited at home by a community nurse if you are referred by your GP. You should also be visited at home by a health visitor if you have recently had a baby or if you are newly registered with a GP and have a child under five years.
